Pooches Peak as Derbyshire lets the dogs out!

A unique dog show is being held at Rowsley’s peak village shopping centre on the 31^st of July in a bid to find the dream dog of Derbyshire. The aim of the show is to find a new mascot for the shopping centre and for each class that you enter your dog in the entrance fee is only £1, with all proceeds going to charity. There are loads of prizes, trophies and rosettes on offer and a great day for both dogs and owners are guaranteed.

Altogether there are 12 different categories, as diverse as best crossbreed and prettiest bitch. It makes no difference whether your pooch is a pedigree or a Heinz 57, your dog will have its day in Derbyshire. There will also be help on hand for those who have pets with problems, and a behaviourist form ‘Best Buddies’ will be offering their specialist advice. Canine conflict can quickly become puppy love in just a wag of a tail.

The event runs from 1100-1600, and the charity to benefit from this great day out is ‘Just for Dogs’, a charity that was originally formed back in 1997 by a group of people with a single goal, to rescue and then re-home unwanted and abandoned dogs. The charity solely relies on public donations and fund raising events such as this. The organisers hope that the dog owners of Derbyshire will come along and show their support.
