If at all you spend very little time at home you should not choose a dog breed which requires a lot of exercise or requires much attention from the owner. But if you are used to going for early runs it would be sensible to choose a dog which feels happy to exercise and can manage to keep up with your pace.
Another important factor is to take in mind your home environment or your living arrangements. If your house is big enough you can afford to keep a dog as it would manage to do some playing around while you are at work. Some dogs need more space than the usual dogs and hence one should choose wisely. There are certain dogs that are not capable of doing well when they are left out doors. So if you have an open space around your house and you want to buy a house it would be wise to choose a dog that will do well outdoors.
The number of family members living in a particular house also plays a vital role in buying a dog breed. If at all there is a new born baby at home it would be a sensible decision to buy a dog who can bare with kids and their tantrums. Because there are chances that the child might unintentionally hurt the dog and the dog might retaliate. If you have another pet choose wisely as there are dogs who just can’t live with other animals around, but there is always an exception. There are a few dog breeds that do extremely well with other animals around. Some dogs are specially bred for dog shows they are well trained and disciplined so as to impress the judges.
